Ready with the intense program and the first names of the wine experts expected in Sannicandro di Bari from June 8 to 12 to discover wines and oils of Southern Italy.
Authoritative connoisseurs of wine and olive oil traveling from all over the world will gather at the Castle of Sannicandro di Bari to participate in the great event that celebrate native vines and olive oils of Southern Italy.
Here is the intense program and the first names of the authoritative international guests.
From June 8 to 12 2023 Radici del Sud will host over 40 national and international experts selected to learn about wine and olive oil production, which in recent years has gained the attention of a vast audience of professionals from all over the world. Guests will come from Canada, China, South Korea, Denmark, France, Germany, England, Ireland, Norway, Holland, Sweden, USA, Vietnam, as well as from Italy. The event will be in collaboration with the associations Vinarius, Assoenologi PBC, Aepi, Ais Puglia, the journal vinodabere.it and Mondelli Agrifarma. The qualified and expert journalists and importers from all over the world, divided into 4 groups, will be engaged on June 8 and 9 in the press/buyers tours scheduled in various territories of the Southern Italian Regions to allow them to appreciate the wines from native vine and olive oils directly in the production areas. In the following two days (June 10 and 11) the main activities will continue at the castle of Sannicandro di Bari and will be those related to the wine competition which will take place thanks to 2 juries, divided into 4 tasting commissions, structured to provide immediate verdicts reading: international journalists, who will presumably express an opinion more linked to the international tastes of their countries of origin, will be part of a jury, while the other jury will be made up of italian journalists who will provide an opinion more linked to the identity of the territory and the grape variety . This allows wine producers to have two interpretations through the scores of the two juries and above all to deepen the way of thinking about Southern wine both in Italy and abroad. On the same days the wine-buyers will be busy in the Castle of Sannicandro di Bari with the BtoB meetings with the wine and olive oil producers.
June 12, the last day of the event, will be entirely dedicated to the awarding of the winning wines of the XVIII edition, which will be held during the press conference from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., and to the wine and olive oil Exhibition open to the public from 03:00 p.m. to 09:00 p.m., that will welcome sector operators, enthusiasts inside and outside the sector who will be able to visit the exhibition desks of wine and olive oil producers who will present the entire range of products. At the Exhibition, available to visitors, there will also be a food area with tasting counters of gastronomic products and chefs who will let us taste their preparations.
To conclude the eighteenth edition of the Exhibition from 09:00 p.m. to midnight the great chefs and pizza makers of our Southern Italian territories will participate in the celebration of the winning wines: they will set up a great food and wine festival open to the public in the courtyard of the Castle of Sannicandro di Bari. access will be allowed until all available places are filled.
