The seventh edition of the Southern Italian wines returns to the Netherlands on October 21st in Tuil and on October 23rd in Amsterdam.
This year's event sees journalist Fred Nijhuis, Fiko restaurant, and Radici del Sud join forces to showcase the wines of Southern Italy. The event will be held at Fred Nijhuis's tasting room in the town of Tuil on October 21st and at Fiko restaurant in central Amsterdam on October 23rd.
The two events aim to connect Southern Italian wine producers with buyers, journalists, wine experts, restaurateurs, and wine lovers from across the Netherlands.
The tasting will feature wines from past editions of the Dutch event, along with several new releases being presented in the Netherlands for the first time.
On Monday, October 21st, from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM, the day will be dedicated to industry professionals and wine lovers, who will participate in a masterclass led by journalist Fred Nijhuis, who will take us on a journey through the grape varieties and wines of Southern Italy.
On October 23rd, at the Fiko restaurant, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the event will offer industry professionals and wine enthusiasts the opportunity to taste over 50 Southern Italian wines. All visitors will receive a glass and a wine list, served by expert staff who will guide participants on a journey through the regions of Southern Italy.
Participation is by invitation only, or by registering on the organization's website, subject to availability.
The renewal of this event, now in its seventh year, confirms and consolidates the message and connections that Radici del Sud aims to build, offering Southern Italian wines a platform to reach a wider audience.
